Reflection

Reflection following the CARL method.
During the CON3 project, which spanned the initial month and a half of the semester, my involvement in the group was predominantly in a passive capacity, assuming the roles of quality control and mediator. While the project was ultimately delivered successfully, I believe that I could have contributed more effectively if I had assumed a more active role. However, I refrained from expressing this sentiment to the team. The group dynamics were not optimal, and I believe that a more individualistic approach on my part could have yielded a different outcome, at least based on my personal experience. This was not the first instance in which I found myself in such a predicament, as I tend to prioritize the preferences of others before my own.
Motivated to challenge my comfort zone, which had hindered my inclination to openly share my honest opinions, I endeavored to assume the role of producer for our short film. This role entails bringing the team together and leading the project, forcing me to be more proactive and communicative.
Through my experience in this position, I can confidently affirm that it suits me remarkably well. It has allowed me to refine my communication and organizational skills, boost my confidence, and improve group dynamics. Our team has fostered an exceptional working environment characterized by professionalism, mutual respect, and a shared dedication to creating a product of which we can be proud. As stated in Vladmir's feedback, "You have shown more proactiveness and strength in defending your ideas and fulfilling your duties as a producer." I have consistently expressed my opinions during our meetings, recognizing how honesty and the sharing of preferences contribute to a better understanding among team members. There are times when advocating for individualistic perspectives becomes necessary, as it fosters enhancements in work quality and overall efficiency.
Moving forward, I am resolved to share my opinions with greater confidence, as I have witnessed firsthand the positive impact it can have on achieving superior outcomes and personal satisfaction in my work. I remain open to exploring diverse roles within the team to gain a comprehensive understanding of each perspective. Nevertheless, I find a more participatory role to be considerably more conducive to my comfort and overall contribution.
